About Sheila

Hello, I’m Sheila Dudley.  I am a Certified Clinical and Medical Support Hypnotherapist and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner.  What does that mean?  It means I help people overcome their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual obstacles with the use of their powerful subconscious mind.  It also means I study excellence in humans, and how the brain and mind respond to language.  Truthfully, I don’t hypnotize people.  I teach people how to hypnotize themselves.  All hypnosis is self-hypnosis.  The mind only does what the mind wants to do.  People can’t make you do stuff you don’t want to do.  No one can “make” you think things you don’t want to think.  I’m going to tell you what I say to everyone that asks me about hypnosis:  “If I could control people through hypnosis, I would be the Queen of the Universe right now, and you would all be very busy building my pyramids.”

I understand language like a program, and teach people to “write the software” of their mind for preferred outcomes.  It also means I’m all about positive thinking, and the power of the human spirit to adapt and grow.  I received my education at the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2008.

I continually study the effects of positive thought and language on the mind and body.  During a session I use imagination, creative visualization, and relaxation techniques to facilitate healing and personal growth.  Some of these techniques have shamanic roots.  It is my goal to facilitate people overcoming obstacles and unwanted behavior through hypnosis and NLP. I specializes in medical support for people with chronic pain and illness, teaching them techniques to manage their pain and relax their bodies.

I also facilitate workshops and seminars.  I speak about self-hypnosis, healing, positivity, optimism, self-confidence, spirituality and metaphysics; and any other subject having to do with my wild passion for personal development.  In addition, I am a yoga teacher specializing in flexibility of mind, body and spirit as well as body acceptance.  I teach people with curvy bodies to do things they thought weren’t possible with yoga.

In my free time, I like to dance, write, cook, read, do yoga, draw, knit and watch Sci-fi.
